And of course, the rock soundtrack was really great too, from the bangers composed for the game to the inspired choices of licenses tracks for some of the bosses and stages. I also really appreciated the bits of dialogue from the robots throughout each stage + the conversations with the team at the base I made sure to listen to all of them. Getting hit (Ouch) reduces the number of points you earn for a while. Your play style can also give you bonuses for feats like attaining a high hit combo. The cast of characters was also very entertaining Chai and CNMN were probably my favorites, but just about everyone else was really good too. Performing Special Attacks, Jam Combos (including Overkill Bonuses), Aerial Raves, and Magnet Links will all give you score multipliers. I found myself bopping my head to the rhythm more often than not. ![]() I Hit Things With A Guitar Really Well Finish a stage with an S rank for every Chorus. Do this for all combos and the achievement will be rewarded. Go to the Training Room and pull up the menu and select Combo List. The combination of the rhythm and hack-and-slash genres isn't entirely new (see 2020's No Straight Roads), but this game just does it so well. Successfully pull off every combo and attack in the Training Room. This is the kind of game I'd only expect to see from an indie developer nowadays. Holy shit, Hi-Fi Rush really is that good! Every aspect of the game is absolutely full of passion and style the fact that this was published by Bethesda is absolutely shocking. ![]()
